Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader and former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi Tuesday said that his party only released the video of the accountability judge and did not blame any state institution. Speaking at a presser here, he claimed that the government has already conducted the forensic of the video, and the court will certainly take notice of it as the issue is quite serious which needs to be probed.
He said that time has come for the people of the country to come to know about the reality of ongoing accountability process, adding when justice becomes suspicious then a nation cannot progress. Taking a jibe at the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), he said that National Accountability Bureau (NAB) will not do anything about the issue of BRT project in Peshawar which is not going to be completed anytime in future.
Ahsan Iqbal, who was also present at the presser, said that the PML-N is the only party which is fighting to save the state institutions which are at the verge of collapse. Earlier, the PML-N leader released a video clip purportedly showing an accountability court judge allegedly admitting to lack of evidence against former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in the Al-Aziza Steel Mills reference. In December, the accountability court judge had sentenced Nawaz Sharif to seven years in prison in the same corruption case.
