Poor performance of utilities' providers hindering industrial uplift: HSATI

The office bearers of Hyderabad SITE Association of Trade and Industry have termed the poor performance of facility providers like Hesco, SSGL and Wasa as the main hurdles to promotion of industrial development in Hyderabad.
In a joint statement here on Tuesday, Chairman HSATI Muhammad Shahid Kaimkhani, Patron-in-Chief Mazhar-ul-Haq Choudhry, Convener HSATI Committee on HESCO Muhammad Aslam Bawani, Convener Sub-Committee of SITE Salahuddin Qureshi and Members executive committee Khalid Umer Malik said that as a result of acute water shortage, industrialists, workers and residents of SITE are Hyderabad are passing miserable condition.
The infrastructure of SITE Hyderabad has also converted in dilapidated condition due to inefficient management of Sindh Industrial Trading Estate Limited, they said and added that earlier, the industrialists of the area were worried over the deteriorating sewerage system and now the non-availability of water caused more disaster in the area even the residents are running pillar to post to get drinking water.
On the complaint, they said that SITE Limited and Wasa management are accusing hour-long load management, unannounced loadshedding and power outage from Hesco, causing acute shortage of water not only in SITE area but also in entire city of Hyderabad. The ban on supply of water through tankers is also creating problems for industrialists, they said.
They demanded the high-ups of federal and provincial governments as well as Commissioner Hyderabad and officers of departments concerned to take notice over acute shortage of water in SITE Hyderabad so that the industrialists and residents of the area could take sigh of relief with availability of water in the area.
