The Met Office on Saturday forecast mainly hot and humid weather for the most parts of the country in the next 24 hours. However, scattered rain-thundershower and windstorm with a few heavy falls are expected in Zhob, Kalat, DG Khan, Multan, Bahawalpur, Sukkur and Larkana Divisions, while isolated falls in Hazara, Kohat, Peshawar, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Faisalabad, Sahiwal and Mirpurkhas Divisions, besides Islamabad and Kashmir.
In the last 24 hours: Scattered rain-thundershower and windstorm occurred in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, DG Khan, Bahawalpur, Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Kalat, Zhob and Sibbi Divisions and Kashmir. Weather remained hot and humid in other parts of the country.
Noukundi was the hottest place in the country with 47 degrees Celsius, Dalbandin, Sukkur and Dadu 44, each, Peshawar, Gilgit, Multan and Hyderabad 39, each, Quetta and Karachi 37, each, Islamabad and Muzaffarabad 36, each and Lahore and Faisalabad 35, each.
Muzaffarabad City received maximum 30 mm of rainfall, followed by Joharabad with 21 mm, Lahore City 18 mm, Khuzdar 17 mm, Noorpurthal 14 mm, Balakot 12 mm and Garidupatta 10 mm. "Seasonal low lies over western Balochistan. Weather in Karachi is expected to remain partly cloudy with 35 degrees Celsius and 75 percent humidity in the next 48 hours. "Weak moist currents from Arabian Sea are penetrating central parts of the country," the met said.
