Sunnat-e-Ibrahimi/Eid-ul-Azha is likely to be observed in Pakistan for three days - 12, 13 and 14 August 2019. It is anticipated offals of sacrificed animals will scatter around main roads, streets, service lanes and around high rises, bungalows and houses in the city, creating bad smelly and unhealthy environment in Karachi, already covered with old stocks of garbage, waste and dirty heaps.
Many areas around city are handicapped of 'dust bins', as a result, citizens finding no alternate, will add throwing offals of sacrificed animals to their routine garbage dumping around. This culture under practice, must be controlled by KMC and concerned Cantonment Boards in their respective zones. It will be time for them to render services in return of tax payments by citizens, specially on all 3 days of Eid-ul-Azha. For this purpose, dust bins have to be placed at short distances with standby arrangements for immediate removal of carcasses without letting them rot for long and throwing away at isolated locations far from city.
Concerned quarters are required to undertake contingency plan from now for meeting situation vehemently for healthy environment in the city. Above all, the attention of Governor of Sindh is solicited to this hot issue.
