Kangana slams Alia, Aamir for their double standards

Bollywood's controversy ‘Queen’ Kangana Ranaut recently took a jibe at Bollywood actors including Aamir Khan and Alia Bhatt for ignoring her and not acknowledging her work.

In her recent interview with Pinkvilla, Kangana called out B-Town celebs for their double standard. “After Tanu Weds Manu I have had so many trials, they would just not come. But when it comes to them, they call me shamelessly; I even sort of cancel my shoots and make sure I attend them. Now, I have stopped because it's getting too much,” she said.

“These girls send me their trailers like Alia sent me the trailer of Raazi and said, 'Please watch it'. For me, it was not a Karan Johar film or Alia film, for me, it was a film on Sehmat Khan, the girl who has given her everything to the country. Similarly, When Aamir called me for Dangal, Secret Superstar, I went all the way to Ambani's house. Dangal, for me, was a film about women empowerment. But they don't have time for any of my film screenings,” she added.

Her last few films failed to repeat the success of her previous films but she has once again rocked the box office with a biopic on Rani Laxmibai titled ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’. Even after so much controversy, the movie is doing well on box office.

Earlier, Kangana repeatedly claimed that Bollywood celebs have cornered her even after she has given some critical and commercial hits.

“I don't feel so threatened by anyone around. You know like you see I will praise Alia or I would praise Anushka or I would praise everyone. I never shied away from going to Deepika's Piku trial. Everyone I have praised in my capacity. Sonakshi's Lootera I saw and the whole year I praised her. Why don't I see same sort of...why is everyone like, ‘Oh, oh, oh she doesn't exist’? My film has crossed millions and millions of views and it is one of the most promising films of this year. So when they pretend I don't exist, nobody ever talks about my teasers or trailers,” she said in an interview.
