The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on Tuesday tabled a resolution in the Punjab Assembly for revocation of independent status of the Occupied Kashmir, demanding from India to withdraw this illegal step and let the Kashmiris decide about their future while exercising their right to plebiscite.
Member Punjab Assembly (MPA) Rabia Farooqi of the PML-N tabled the resolution on Tuesday. Content of the resolution suggests that this House condemns revocation of the independent status of Kashmir and terms it as Indian prejudice and hostility against the Kashmiris. The Indian step is also against the international laws and diplomatic norms and that the whole world condemns India for subjugating Kashmiris.
The resolution also condemned the use of cluster munitions on civilian population living close to the Line of Control (LoC) by India, causing multiple fatalities and injuries to several others, including minor children. The resolution termed it as a violation of international laws and demanded an action against India by the world community. The resolution stressed that the whole nation stands with the Kashmiris and it would not leave them alone in any case. The people of Pakistan would counter Indian intrigues at every forum, it concluded.
