Mayor Karachi Waseem Akhtar on Friday underscored the need of legal action against K-Electric for electrocution of some 21 persons including children due to its 'negligence' to provide safe supply of electricity to the city in the recent rains. Taking to the victim families, after appearing before the Supreme Court, Waseem said the loss of 20 persons [due to electric shocks] is a big tragedy, and asked them to lodge FIR and approach the court of law against the power utility for the justice. "Me, as the city mayor, would stand with you" Waseem said. The families were protesting against the power company outside the SC.
