Model Customs Collectorate (MCC), Appraisement West will observe August 11 (Sunday) as normal working day in order to mitigate the worries of the trade and dispose of examination work at port. In a letter issued to KICT here on Saturday, MCC, Appraisement West said that examination at KICT was very slow and most of the containers were not being grounded even after a lapse of 5 days.
The letter further stated that despite the directives made to the KICT to complete grounding, arrangement of cargo and all other pre-requisites to get the pending containers examined within two days, the situation has not improved that led the containers' pendency to over 200 containers even on the last working day before Eid.
Keeping the said in view, the MCC, Appraisement West, will observe normal working day on Sunday dated 11.08.2019 and directed KICT to make all arrangements to ensure maximum grounding of containers in order to mitigate the worries of trade and dispose of examination work at port.
