Actress Richa Chadha has become the first Bollywood actor to feature in a book ‘The House of Commons Book of Tribute to the late Nelson Mandela’. It is a book that pays tribute to the world leader Nelson Mandela and has handwritten messages from renowned people from across the world.
The book has more than 700 handwritten messages from prominent people including former US President Barack Obama, Kofi Annan and celebrities like Paul McCartney, Russell Crowe, Chris Rock, Kylie Minogue and Will Smith.
The book is a major tool to help continue Mandela’s mission to end child poverty and racial intolerance. The book will soon be published. The proceeds from sales in each country will go towards fighting child poverty.
Nic Careem, the founder of book extended his gratitude towards Richa for writing her message in the book in support of the cause. Richa is also honored to be part of such great cause and said that it’s an exceptional feeling to part of this campaign and to pay a tribute to the biggest world icon.
“To be part of this book which is so thoughtful to have handwritten notes by everyone be contributed as an overall message for the youth today is truly exceptional. To embody his contribution and to have heartfelt messages by such accomplished people is a great way to know how and what people thought and continue to think of him even today. I’m happy to be part of this tribute the proceeds of which will be given towards a campaign to end poverty,” she said, Indian media reported.
