Religious leaders and scholars at an "Istekaam-e-Pakistan" conference have stressed the need for forging unity and solidarity among all religious sects to foil evil designs of anti-state elements and to make the Pakistan a progressive, stable and sustainable country in the region. The speakers vowed to forcefully fight against extremism and support the Pakistan narrative of peace and peaceful co-existence in the region and will continue to raise voice for stable and sustainable Pakistan at every forum.
The conference was held under auspices of Majlis-e-Ulema Pakistan to express solidarity with people of Kashmir at Peshawar Press Club on Saturday. The seminar on titled: Istekaam-e-Pakistan was chaired by Majlis-e-Ulema Pakistan chairman, Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad. Bishop Peshawar Church, Peters Sarfaraz Humphrey, Maulana Roohullah Madani, Allama Fakhrul Hassan Kararvi, Haji Jalil Jan, Hindu community activist, Haroon Sarabdiyal and others were keynote speakers of the seminar.
