SBP sets up Kassim Parekh Memorial Chair at Gomal 'university

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has established Kassim Parekh Memorial Chair at Gomal University, D I Khan. The State Bank regulates the monetary and credit system of Pakistan in the best national interest with a view to securing monetary stability and foster economic growth. The SBP also promotes research activities and publishes various reports covering major macroeconomic sectors of the economy.
As part of its endeavor to enhance the standard of teaching and research in economics, especially in the fields of monetary policy, exchange rate management, capital flows, financial sector stability, and economic growth, the SBP has established Chairs at various public sector universities in honor of its former governors. Now, the State Bank has set up Kassim Parekh Memorial Chair at Gomal University, D I Khan and has invited applications from renowned economists/researchers to be recruited on SBP Memorial Chair for two years contract.
As per eligibility criteria, candidate must have PhD in Economics and minimum eight (8) years of post-qualification teaching and/or research experience in the respective field.
