Over seven cases of theft including house robbery and snatching at gunpoint, eight cases of car lifting, three of kidnapping and one case of murder were reported to the city's various police stations during the last week. According to the data gathered by Business Recorder, the most favourite areas for the criminal gangs were within the limits of Golra, Bhara Kahu, Karachi Company, Ramna nad Kohsar police stations.
During the last week, Golra police station registered one case each of robbery, kidnapping and auto theft. Shabeer Ahmed lodged a complaint with Golra police station that unknown robbers stole foreign currency, cash and jewellery of Rs 500,000 from his house. Another, Samina Bibi filed a complaint with Golra police station that unidentified persons kidnapped his son.
Auto thieves stole a bike bearing registration number FR-927 of Azharul Hussain within the limits of same police station. In the same period, Bhara Kahu police station registered one case each of kidnapping and auto theft. Ijaz Akhatr lodged a complaint with Bhara Kahu police station that unknown accused kidnapped his son Tausef Akhtar. Motor vehicle thieves lifted a car bearing registration number LEF-465 of Shuakat Mehmood.
Auto thieves stole bikes including a bike (AXM-444) of Abid Ali worth Rs 70,000 and another bike (RIR-5930) of Khawar Rehman from the limits of Karachi Company police station.
During the last week, Ramna police station registered one case each of kidnapping and robbery. Sadaqat Hussain lodged a complaint with Ramna police station that accused Kashif kidnapped his daughter. Another Aam Amen informed Ramna police station that the accused Sajid and others stole cash and gold ornaments of Rs 500,000 from his house.
One case each of auto theft and robbery was reported to Kohsar police station in the same period. Auto thieves stole a bike (AWP-486) of Ubaid Rebman. Nazer Islam lodged a complaint with Kohsar police station that the accused Raja Shakeel along with three others snatched Rs 134,000 from him.
