Corps Commander Peshawar Lieutenant General Shaheen Mazhar Mehmood Khattak paid visit to Landi Kotal where he inspected Pak-Afghan sharing border, Torkham on Saturday. The Corps Commander flew to the town through military chopper where he was received by Inspector General Frontier Corp (IGFC) North, Major General Rahat Naseem and Commandant Khyber Rifles Colonel Farrukh Humayun and other forces officials at cantonment helipad.
The visiting forces high-ups inspected the security arrangement adopted on Western border and expressed his satisfaction over it. He added that modern technology would be installed at the border to further tighten the security to avoid any illegal penetration via Pak-Afghan border. Prior to it, the Corps Commander was briefed on the measures taken at Torkham to secure the border.
