Prime Minister Imran Khan has lauded the role of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) in ensuring aerial defence of the country, especially the one displayed during February this year. The prime minister visited Air Headquarters here on Monday. The prime minister lauded PAF's role in ensuring aerial defence of the country, especially the one displayed on February 27, 2019 when the PAF shot down two aircraft of Indian Air Force.
He also appreciated PAF's contributions in war against terrorism, various nation building activities and positive image projection of Pakistan. Earlier, upon his arrival, Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan welcomed the prime minister. The PM was presented a guard of honour and he laid a floral wreath at the Martyrs Monument. Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Defence Minister Pervez Khattak, Adviser to PM Imran Khan on Finance and Revenue Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh, Minister for Defence Production Zubaida Jalal Khan and Special Assistant to the PM on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan accompanied the prime minister.
