Ukraine's grain exports have risen to almost 7.62 million tonnes so far in the 2019/20 July-June export season, up from 4.72 million tonnes at the same time last year, the agriculture ministry said on Wednesday. The volume includes 4.07 million tonnes of wheat, 1.75 million tonnes of barley and 1.78 million tonnes of corn, the statement said. Ukraine plans to harvest at least 70 million tonnes of grain this year, almost the same as it threshed in 2018.
The ministry gave no export forecast for the whole season. In 2018/19 Ukraine exported a record 50 million tonnes of grains. Grains, vegetable oils and oilseeds dominate Ukraine's agricultural exports.
