Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Siraj-ul-Haq has once again urged the government for abolition of Simla Agreement with India and removal of fence at the Line of Control (LOC) along Occupied Kashmir. He said this while talking to media persons after holding a meeting with a delegation of Hurriyat leaders, who led by Abdul Hameed Lone called on him here on Tuesday. The Kashmiri leaders informed Siraj of the latest situation in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK).
They said that thousands of political activists, students and common Kashmiri people had been thrown into jails and their family members had no access to them even after the passage of a month. There is a complete communication blockade in the entire region along with threats of severe food and medicine shortage. They said the crisis could cost thousands of lives in the held valley.
They regretted that the world was acting like a silent spectator over Indian brutalities and worst human rights violations in the IOK. The Jamaat-e-Islami emir told the delegation that the entire Pakistani nation was standing with the people of Kashmir at that crucial juncture.
He said that Jamaat-e-Islami had also suggested the authorities concerned and political parties of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJ&K) and the IOK that the people of held valley should be given representation in the AJK's legislative assembly which should act as official representative of entire Kashmir region.
He said if any Pakistan leader tried to deceive Kashmiris, he would not even find a space for his grave in the country.
Since Quaid-e-Azam had declared Kashmir as Pakistan's jugular vein, the people of Kashmir were fighting the case of Pakistan's completion, Siraj pointed out. The Jamaat-e-Islami emir ensured them that the people of Pakistan would also go to any extent to help their besieged brothers and sisters.
