As many as 64 officials of Sindh Police have been dismissed from the service as the result of department's ongoing 'reward and punishment' campaign, police office informed on Friday. The drive has been initiated on the directives of Sindh Police IG Dr Syed Kaleem Imam to improve the efficiency within department across the province.
As per details released from the director (Press) Sindh police office, some 4218 officials from the rank of constable to inspector were awarded with different kinds of punishments and their data has been saved in the Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS). Larkana Range was on the top in terms of punishment as 20 officials were sacked from the service while 2183 were awarded with different level of punishments, followed by Shaheed Benazirabad Range with 12 officials sacked. West Zone listed third with 11 personnel dismissed.
The report said three officials were forced to retire from the service, four were demoted, service period of some 181 officials was reduced and 3341 have been given warnings while 625 were punished by withholding their annual increments. However, DIG Larkana Irfan Baloach and SSP Kashmor Asad Raza were awarded with Rs 100,000 cash each for showing good performance in the Range and District level respectively during the evaluation process. Range DIGs while appreciating the outstanding performances of policemen, awarded some 1144 officials with CC 2nd and some 8865 with CC 3rd award.
