Actress Priyanka Chopra has gradually been spilling details about her glorious wedding ceremonies last year and her latest revelation about her freaking out the moment she was supposed to walk down the aisle to her hubby Nick Jonas is too sweet to be missed.
“Right before I was supposed to walk down the aisle, I remember them putting the veil on me. The veil was like 75 feet, I was like, ‘I’m going to strain my neck muscles like the mother of dragons’,” she said, while appearing in a TV show ‘Good Morning America’ on Wednesday.
"But I had a freak-out moment when I was standing right behind the curtains and they were going to tell me when to walk out and the music was going to start playing. I just started having a panic attack and then the doors opened and I saw him. And I cannot forget that moment,” she added.
The actor was also asked about why she had so many wedding ceremonies. She explained how big the Indian weddings are and their wedding actually had few people. “I wanted our wedding to be a very intimate affair. We had just about 200 people, which is very less for an Indian wedding – that’s usually like 1,000 people,” she said.
PeeCee went on to explain that it was actually her mother who objected to a small wedding as she wanted to imvite everyone such as her jeweller. “So we had to do a bunch of receptions for everyone and family and friends. I was just wedding-ed out by the last one,” she said.
Before appearing on ‘Good Morning America’ she also appeared on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ where she revealed that she initially didn’t want to have a big wedding and wanted it be an intimate wedding at some island. However, she said, Nick suggested the ceremony should be in India. “Nick said, why aren’t we doing this in India? Shouldn’t I be taking my bride from her home?” she recalled.
