Kaira accuses Centre of targeting Sindh government

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Punjab President Qamar Zaman Kaira said on Saturday that the Federal government has targeted Sindh government under the garb of corruption. However, he added in the same breath that Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah would keep retaining his position even if he gets arrested.
He was talking to media at the Punjab secretariat to mark birthday of party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto. He also criticized the government for arresting PPP stalwart Khursheed Shah, saying that a case of Rs 500 billon corruption has been fabricated against him for political motives.
He said a sinister campaign of billion of rupees of corruption has been launched against former President Asif Ali Zardari but the actual matter was not more than Rs 150 million in the end. He claimed that his relatives were also being harassed but he would not leave his party. He raised a question whether there was no corruption in Punjab and added that why media was focusing only on Sindh. Is Malam Jabba case not important anymore, he posed a question.
