A 10-member Full Court of Supreme Court of Pakistan will take up identical petitions challenging presidential references against the two judges of the superior courts for allegedly not disclosing their foreign properties in their wealth statements today (Tuesday).
The Chief Justice constituted 10-judge Full Court on the request of Justice Qazi Faez Isa that comprises Justice Umar Ata Bandial, Justice Maqbool Baqar, Justice Manzoor Ahmad Malik, Justice Faisal Arab, Justice Mazhar Alam Khan Miankhel, Justice Sajjad Ali Shah, Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah, Justice Munib Akhtar, Justice Yahya Afridi and Justice Qazi Muhammad Amin Ahmed.
Justice Qazi's counsel Munir A Malik's request for adjournment has been declined. In a letter dispatched to Munir A Malik, the registrar's office of the Supreme Court intimated that his application has been allowed with subject to the condition that this general adjournment will not apply to date by court cases as well as cases fixed before larger/special bench if constituted during this period.
