This is apropos a Business Recorder editorial "Trumpian triumphalism" carried by the newspaper on Thursday. The newspaper has concluded its argument by saying that "President Trump's speech did not lay the foundation for any shift in his ideological commitment to nationalism, trade war with China, and disallowing migrations. The stage he set in his speech was for his re-election bid in 2020."
President Trump is fully aware of the fact that the prospects of his re-election are not really bright. His body language on various occasions seems to have betrayed his lack of confidence in himself. He often talks big; it does not, however, necessarily give any kind of boost to his plans to retain his presidency.
