Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has asked Directorate General of Intelligence and Investigation (DGI&I) FBR to provide complete details of its former DG Shaukat Ali, and 29 other intelligence officers in corruption inquiry.
According to details, an inquiry 193/2019 was under investigation at FIA on allegations of misuse of official authority, misappropriation of public money, accumulation of assets beyond means in and abroad through illegal means by granting undue favors to the favorites that caused billions of rupees financial losses to the national exchequer.
Therefore, the FIA in order to finalise the inquiry has directed the DGI&I to provide full particulars including transfer/posting record, ex-Pakistan leave record, NOC's record and assets declarations by former DG DGI&I Shaukat Ali, Abdul Razzar Samejo, superintendent I&I Sukkar, Liaqat Ali inspector I&I Sukkar, Mushtaq Ahmad Sargana Rtd Constable, Syed Arshad Ali Shah and others.
Furthermore, the FIA had also ordered to clarify why DGI&I gave cash reward to the officials after their dismissal. The officials were Superintendent Waqar Cheema, who was then posted at Customs I&I Lahore and Superintendent Zahid Raza Bukhari, who was then posted at Customs I&I Faisalabad.
