The Entry Test for admission in 2019 in Centre of Excellence in Art and Design (CEAD), Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET) Jamshoro was conducted at the Centre. Different blocks were established for 500 candidates appearing from Sindh, Punjab, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, FATA and other parts of the country. There are total 155 seats available for the candidates with 50% quota reserved for Sindh and 50% for other parts of the country.
The Centre offers admission in four departments such as; Fine Art, Architecture and Planning, Communication Design and Textile Design. The entry test comprised of two major sections, the first of multiple choice questions and second of drawing, whereas both sections carried equal marks 50 each. Vice-Chancellor MUET Professor Dr Muhammad Aslam Uqaili, Pro Vice-chancellor Professor Dr Tauha Hussain Ali, Dean Architecture and Civil Engineering MUET Professor Dr Khan Muhammad Brohi, Director CEAD MUET Professor Dr Bhai Khan Shar, and other officials paid visit in the test blocks.
Talking to the media persons VC MUET, Professor Dr Muhammad Aslam Uqaili said that in whole world initially people used to concentrate on Science, Technology, Mathematics and Engineering but now the dimensions are changed and people have included art as their primary field.
