Top order batsman Shan Masood was one of the top performers for Pakistan in an otherwise dismal Test series against South Africa and emerged among the reliable performers for his side. The batsman is now eager to showcase his talent in the upcoming fourth edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL), and will represent the Multan Sultans franchise. “Last year, I didn’t get a chance in PSL, however, it was an onus on me to stick with the same side [Multan Sultans] who gave me the first opportunity. This time around I am hopeful that I will get a chance, and am looking forward to it,” said Masood, quoted local media. Speaking about the upcoming World Cup, Masood said that Pakistan should be considered among the ‘favourites’ of the tournament, as conditions in England suit the team. “The conditions in England especially summers suit us. Furthermore, our players are receptive to the changing conditions as well. Our team has been touring England consistently since 2016 and will tour this year as well, so we have so much of cricket in England that I am pretty sure that Pakistan will be one of the favourites,” said Masood.
