14 Feb, 2019

Bollywood actors Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt are all set to rule 2019 with their first-ever collaboration. Their movie ‘Gully Boy’ has just hit theatres and is getting unbelievable positive response from fans as well as from B-Town.

The film has received immense appreciation from global audience at the Berlin film festival, where it had its world premiere, and is now also winning hearts on its official release.

According to a report in Box office India, the occupancy rate of 'Gully Boy' is around 40-45 per cent in the morning shows in India. Interestingly, the occupancy rate of the musical drama is higher than that of Ranveer's film, 'Padmaavat'.

The movie is unconventional in terms of its setting and the larger issues of class perceptions and social prejudices that it addresses. It is a lively take on a young man's (Ranveer) struggle to rise above his station in life. Alia’s character Safeena plays Ranveer’s love interest, who is one of his support system in the movie.

Both the actors have given power-packed performance and seem convincing in their respective roles. Bollywood has also given a big shout out to the film on social media.
