‘Thor’ actor Chris Hemsworth is all set to portray wrestling legend Hulk Hogan in his biopic on Netflix. The streaming service has obtained the life rights from Terry Gene Bollea, aka Hulk Hogan.

The project is expected to deal with the formative years of Hogan's ascent into fame, starting with the Florida wrestling circuit in the late 1970s and how he became the face of the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) during the 1980s.

According to international media reports, Netflix is in the early stages of developing a Hulk Hogan biopic, with Hemsworth attached to produce and also star as the wrestling legend.

Hemsworth is best known for portraying ‘Thor’ in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He has two films coming out this year: the highly-anticipated superhero film ‘Avengers: Endgame’ and the ‘Men in Black’ spinoff.

Earlier in an interview in 2013, Hogan expressed his desire to cast Hemsworth in his biopic whenever it’s made. “We need a serious, serious actor that knows what he’s doing,” he said. “You know who I thought would be good? That guy that did that action movie Thor.”
