ISLAMABAD: Deputy Chairman Senate Saleem Mandviwalla Thursday called for launching flight operations between Pakistan and Morocco as there existed huge potential in tourism sector.
He said that Moroccan flag carrier could benefit from the conducive environment in trade, economic and tourism sectors and such a step would help people of the two sides to know about each other's socio-cultural and economic prospects.
The Deputy Chairman Senate said this while talking to Mohamed Karmoune, Ambassador of Morocco who called on him here at Parliament House.
“Pakistan and Morocco will further boost the Parliamentary linkages to mutually benefit and support each other in economic, trade and social sectors,” said Mandviwalla.
He said that Pakistan and Morocco shared many commonalities and both have supported each other on international issues.
He added that there was a need to enhance people to people contacts for mutual benefit of the two sides.
He said that exchange of Parliamentary delegations would steer the agenda to enhance bilateral ties and economic relationship.
He said that tangible efforts were required to develop a strong link between business communities and create an enabling environment for investment in mutually beneficial projects.
The ambassador welcomed the remarks of Deputy Chairman Senate and agreed with the views to enhance bilateral cooperation in different sectors.
