The Multan Sultans chased down 122 runs target with six wickets in hand, against Islamabad United, at the fourth edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) on Tuesday, at Dubai International Stadium.

Opening batsman Uamr Siddiq was the leading scorer for Sultans at 46.

Samit Patel got the first breakthrough for United, after he dismissed James Vince on 28, after a top edge went straight to the hands of Wayne Parnell. Johnson Charles was second in line as he fell to leggie Shadab Khan, after he was lbw on 4.

Umar Siddiq was out after a well made 46, after a sensational catch from Mohammad Musa of Rumman Raees delivery. Musa shined again this time with the ball, when he bowled Laurie Evans on 1.

Earlier, the Islamabad United batting line collapsed at 121, with 14 balls remaining. Opening batsman Luke Ronchi was United's top scorer with 32 off 16 deliveries.

Cameron Delport was caught at deep midwicket by James Vince at the delivery of Mohammad Ilyas in the first over. Nauman Ali picked out Sahibzada Farhan (4) after he got stumped by wicketkeeper Umar Siddiq.

Mohammad Ilyas claimed the massive wicket of Luke Ronchi (32), who got caught at deep by Sultans skipper Shoaib Malik in the fifth over.

Shahid Afridi bowled Hussain Talat on 8 during the 10th over of the match. Samit Patel perished on 20 to Shahid Afrdi, thanks to a sensational catch by Dan Christian who first takes the catch near the boundary, before scooping this to his team-mate James Vince to cover up.

Lanky speedster Mohammad Irfan caught and bowled Parnell, who hit a loose shot straight into the hands of Irfan on 5.

Dan Christian picked up back to back wickets in the 16th over, first he dismissed Asif Ali, who got caught on 22 by Umar Siddiq.  Rumman Raees was next to follow after he was lbw the very next ball. Mohammad Musa became the third wicket of Christian, after the tail-ender was taken at midwicket on 2.

Earlier, the Sultans won the toss and opted to bowl first against United.
