Rumors about Apple launching a Netflix-like streaming service have been doing rounds for a while and looks like these might be true as Apple has just sent out invites for its new event with a tagline ‘It’s show time’.
According to the invites sent out, the Cupertino tech giant Apple is holding an event on March 25 where it is likely to announce details about its very own, new video-streaming service and a new subscription news service, reported Business Insider.
The invite did not disclose any specific details, but its opens up with a film-reel countdown with a tagline that reads ‘It’s show time’, giving more hints about its long-rumored video service being unveiled. The event is set to take place at the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino, California at 10:00am PT.
Moreover, according to Bloomberg, Apple’s video-streaming service will serve as a rival to Netflix and Amazon Prime video and would include Apple original programs and is expected to launch this summer. Apple has also reportedly invited some celebrity big-wigs at the event including Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon.
Also, The Verge reported that Apple is also planning to unveil its Apple News subscription service at the event which will offer a Netflix-style bundle for magazine and subscription newspapers all in one place.
