Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has been awarded honorary doctorate degree from prestigious The University of Law in London. He took to Twitter to thank the management for considering him worthy of this accolade.

Sharing the picture on Twitter, he wrote, “Thank you for the honour University of Law and my best wishes to the graduating students”.

SRK already has honorary doctorates from The University of Bedfordshire and The University of Edinburgh for his contribution towards charitable causes.

"I believe that charity should be done in silence and with dignity. One cannot speak about their charitable acts because it loses its purpose. I have been privileged to be able to use my status as a public personality to champion causes close to my heart," SRK said in a statement.

Over the years, the actor has lent his support to several charitable causes and NGOs, including the Indian government’s Pulse Polio campaign, the National Aids Control Organization and the Make-a-Wish Foundation. He is also associated with the Meer Foundation, which works with acid attack survivors.
