17 Apr, 2019

Talking to media persons at media corner of Sindh Assembly today, he said that instead of demanding more powers, authority and responsibilities must be blended with each other. He said that police must show its performance.

Denouncing brutal murder of Irshaad Ranjhani, Amal and one more innocent killed yesterday, Wahab said that apathy and brutality must be brought to an end.

The advisor said that the government had filed a review petition in the apex court against its earlier judgment on handing over Jinnah Hospital, NICVD and National Museum to the federal government.

He said that the federal government did not take any interest in these institutions in 90 days, adding that the Sindh government had spent a huge amount on improvement of those institutions.

He further said that maintenance of law and order and ensuring security to the citizens was the government’s top priority.

The advisor said that it was the duty of provincial government to maintain law and order to ensure safety of citizens that could only be achieved in letter and spirit.

Wahab also advised the Sindh police to visit all police regions and meet its juniors to encourage them so as to ensure better policing and also involve the civil society in the development of community police.
