LAHORE: Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) demanded the pharmaceutical companies to reverse medicines recent price hike.
In a meeting chaired by PMA Multan chapter president Dr Masoodul Hiraj here Wednesday, it also approved a resolution in this connection.
The meeting expressed grave concerns over 200 to 300 per cent raise in the rates of medicines, observing that the it has added to the problems of common man.
It was decided that PMA would urge incumbent government to make sure no company would raise the prices without permission of Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) in future.
Dr Sheikh Abdul Khaliq, Dr Rana Khawar, Dr Humera Bashir, Dr Imarn Rafiq, Dr Zulqarnain Haider and other office-bearers attended the meeting.
