Just a day or two after getting their hands on Samsung’s all new foldable phone, numerous reviewers have started reporting issues, claiming to have their phone display’s broken.

While boasting about its innovative $1,980 Galaxy Fold, Samsung claimed that the phone’s display is durable enough for 200,000 folds and unfolds, however, apparently that didn’t work out as the reviewers started posting pictures and complaining that the displays broke just after two days of use.

However, as per Business Insider, Samsung was quick to take notice of the issue and mentioned, “A limited number of early Galaxy Fold samples were provided to media for review. We have received a few reports regarding the main display on the samples provided. We will thoroughly inspect these units in person to determine the cause of the matter.

However, some users also attempted to peel off a protective plastic layer that was adhered to the screen itself and Samsung already warned not to remove it as it might cause damage to the screen, reported The Verge.

“Separately, a few reviewers reported having removed the top layer of the display causing damage to the screen. The main display on the Galaxy Fold features a top protective layer, which is part of the display structure designed to protect the screen from unintended scratches. Removing the protective layer or adding adhesives to the main display may cause damage. We will ensure this information is clearly delivered to our customers.”

The device was only given to media reviewers initially, and will officially go o sale on April 26.
