KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Monday adjourned a petition filed by Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Zaidi, seeking to make public Joint Investigation Team (JIT) reports of the Baldia factory inferno, Lyari gang war kingpin Uzair Baloch and former chairman of Fishermen’s Cooperative Society Dr Nisar Morai, till 6th May.
A two-member bench of the SHC headed by Justice Muhammad Iqbal Kalhoro heard the petition but it adjourned due to the absence of Advocate General of Sindh.
The bench ordered the Advocate General of Sindh, Salman Talibuddin to ensure his appearance on next hearing.
The counsel of the Ali Zaidi maintained before the court that JIT reports of cases of May 12, Nisar Morai and Uzair Baloch should be make public.
He said that Sind government had alleged that Ali Zaidi’s demand pertaining to the JITs’ reprotd was political. ‘How it could be political when a large number of people were killed, he said.
