KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Monday issued notices to Chairman Karachi Port Trust (KPT), secretary, and secretary of law of federal government and other respondents on a petition against advertisements about recruitment in KPT.
The petition was heard by the bench filed by a citizen against the KPT for publishing advertisements regarding recruitment in KPT.
The petitioner through his counsel, Salman Mujahid, moved the court and stated that advertisements pertaining to recruitments were illegal and in violation of the federal government’s decision of 2014 regarding recruitments.
He said that areas of urban Sindh including Hyderabad, Karachi, and others were neglected in recruitment policy due to the quota system.
The petitioner requested the court to stop Pakistan Testing Service (PTS) for conducting test for KPT recruitments.
The court issued notices to Principal Secretary to Prime Minister, Secretary cabinet division and adjourned the hearing till the 13th May.
