ISLAMABAD: President Dr. Arif Alvi has said that Pakistan successfully eliminated terrorism while our neighboring country is encouraging extremism.
Addressing the convocation of COMSATS University Islamabad on Wednesday, he said, during the recent standoff between Pakistan and India, Pakistani government and media showed maturity and talked about peace; whereas the Indian government and media wanted war.
The President said Pakistan provided shelter to 3.5 million Afghan refugees, which is an example of humanity. He said the third and fourth generations of the Afghan refugees have been residing in Pakistan.
