Breaking down into tears while speaking about the sexual harassment allegations leveled against him by singer Meesha Shafi, Pakistani singer Ali Zafar spoke up about their ongoing legal battle and requested her to end all of this.

Speaking live on national television, Ali said that when the court’s verdict came in his favour, Meesha began a social media outburst campaign against him. He insisted that several big companies who have hired him were tagged in the posts, along with the United Nations’ agencies, so that his career can be ended.

When asked in the interview that why she would falsely accuse him merely for fame, Ali said, “I don’t know why she is doing this, you should ask her. She should come to the court and tell us what she really wants”.

“She performed with me on the stage. If she was harassed then why did she message me later saying that she had a great time jamming and performing and was grateful for the kind words I said about her on stage,” he further added.  He questioned how someone who was harassed would ever say that to her harasser.

Ali also said his family and children have been affected a lot due to this false accusation against him. He said that the money he’ll receive from the defamation suit is for charity and urged Meesha to end this now.

Earlier on Saturday, speaking to the media outside the court, Ali reiterated that Meesha has allegedly used him for her personal gain. He said Meesha has been targeting him to 'gain international fame like Malala Yousufzai'. " I have already won the case as Meesha's case and second appeal has already been dismissed, now this is my defamation case to pay for my damages".
