Pakistan wicketkeeper batsman Kamran Akmal has slammed the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) after the veteran cricketer was snubbed for the upcoming ICC World Cup 2019.

“The selectors, coach and the captain should look at these youngsters [performing in domestic circuit]… never mind this is part of life, and I am optimistic to make a comeback again,” Akmal said while talking to the media.

Speaking about his siblings Umar Akmal and Adnan Akmal, the wicketkeeper batsman said that injustice have been done to them.

Fast bowler Wahab Riaz too expressed disappointment over not getting considered for the cricket world’s ultimate tournament, despite impressive performance at the recently concluded Pakistan Super League (PSL) and Pakistan Cup.

“Obviously, I was disappointed and hurt over not getting picked for the World Cup, but these things happen you never know what happens next, so one should always be looking forward,” said Riaz.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan cricket team is present in England where they are slated to play a one-off T20I and a five-match ODI series against the hosts before heading into the World Cup.
