KARACHI: Pakistan Medical Association has urged the Karachi Electric (KE) not to resort to any announced/unannounced load shedding during the days announced to engulf city with "Heat Wave" and also in fast approaching Ramzan.
Dr. S. M. Qaisar Sajjad Secretary General, (PMA-Centre) talking to APP Wednesday said Heatwave that is likely to grip the Karachi city during first few days with all chances to persist during Ramzan demanded a comprehensive approach by the authorities at every level to ease plight of general public.
This was said to be crucial as per Met Department's warning maximum day time temperature could range between 40-42 C and this during Ramzan could be particularly difficult.
"Authorities ought to facilitate the general public," he said asking people to be cautious and adopt proper prevention against heat intensity that could affect their health and well being.
"This is serious and can not be ignored," emphasized the PMA official and a known ENT Surgeon.
The doctor said simple and efficient measures can protect people against the associated risks that could have depleting impact on health and in extreme conditions to the life itself.
