The King of Karachi MMA is officially making a comeback through ONE Championship 2019 when he will take on Beijing’s China Top, Hexigetu in a Straw'weight fight on May 10 in Bangkok.
The pride of MTKMMA South Asia, Ovais Shah will mark an epic comeback after a long break against his Chinese counterpart Hexigetu in the Championship on May 10 at Imapact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand.
Ovais Shah, 30, from Karachi holds a record of three wins and two losses (3-2-0). He won his very first fight against his counterpart from Islamabad, Uloomi Karim Shaheen back in 2012 by KO. He also won against his two other counterparts, Daniyal Sikandar and Shams Rehman. Shah's last fall up-till now was against Afnan Iftikhar, also in 2013 by unanimous decision.
While his Chinese counterpart for the upcoming fight is HexiGetu who trains out of Beijing’s China Top Team, which is renowned for being one of the massive country’s foremost fight camps.
He made his professional MMA debut in 2014 but though lost the fight by three-round unanimous decision. After taking the time to correct the mistakes he made in that first bout, he quickly rallied to win his next four bouts in a Chinese promotion to build a respectable professional record. Three of those victories came by way of stunning submission, showcasing his elite grappling skills.
Now these two skilled MMA fighters will take on each other in their upcoming Straw'weight fight on.
