KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Wednesday sought reply from Sindh Government, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh and Director General (DG) of Rangers over petitions seeking recovery of missing persons.
A two-member bench of the SHC, headed by Justice Naimtullah Phulputo heard a set of petitions filed by the families of more than 50 missing persons, seeking recovery of their beloved ones.
The bench directed the authorities concerned to submit their written reply till the 7th August.
However, a new petition was also filed, seeking recovery of missing persons including a student Zeeshan Gul, and Yaseen Gul, Aftab Ahmed, Junaid, Ahmed Bux, Ashraf Abbas and others. The petition stated that these people were taken away by some plainclothes and are still missing.
The bench sought reply from Home Department of Sindh and later adjourned the hearing till the 7th August, 2019.
