Missing citizen: SHC seeks report from police, relevant authorities

KARACHI: Sindh High Court (SHC) on Thursday sought a report from Sindh police and other relevant authorities pertaining to the disappearance of a citizen, Adil Bara.

A two-member bench of the SHC, headed by Justice Naimtullah Phulputo heard a petition, filed by family of Adil Bara, seeking his recovery. The bench sought a report from police and other relevant authorities till the 8th August.

Mother of Adil Bara stated before the bench that her son has been missing for last four years but there was no clue yet about his whereabouts.

Bara’s wife stated that she had announced to commit suicide if her husband was not recovered. She warned that she would commit self-immolation on next hearing in front of court building if her husband is not recovered.

According to the police, Adil is required to police in many cases but he has been absconding.

The court, later, adjourned the hearing till 8th August.
