ISLAMABAD: Minister for Power Division Omar Ayub Khan on Monday said that no load-shedding was being done during Sehr and Iftar timings at a total of 8790 feeders in the country.
“Credit goes to PTI government that no load shedding is being done at any of the feeder in the country during Sehr and Iftar timings,” he told National Assembly.
Responding to a Calling Attention Notice regarding difficulties being faced by the residents of Islamabad due to ban on new electricity and gas connections, he said that this matter may be sent to Cabinet Committee for review.
After listening arguments by the movers of the notice, the Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri referred the matter to Cabinet Committee for further consideration.
Later, the Minister for Housing and Works Chaudhry Tariq Bashir Cheema introduced the Naya Pakistan Housing Authority Bill, 2019 and the Recovery of Mortgage-backed Securities Bill, 2019. Both bills were forwarded to the relevant committees for further consideration.
