LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar chaired a meeting to review performance and other matters of Punjab Masstransit Authority here on Monday.
The Chief Minister sought proposals for decreasing and rationalizing operational costs of Lahore, Multan and Rawalpindi-Islamabad metro buses and directed to constitute a committee for formulating recommendations for making the expenditures realistic.
He also directed to constitute a high-level committee for reviewing the operational and maintenance contract of Lahore Orange Line Metro Train Project. This committee would consist of representatives of P&D, Finance, Transport, Law departments and Punjab Masstransit Authority. The committee would submit its report to the Chief Minister within seven days after reviewing the contract.
Punjab Masstransit Authority's Managing Director briefed the meeting about metro bus service and Lahore Orange Line Metro Train Project.
Provincial Minister for Transport Jehanzeb Khan Khichi, Members of National Assembly Sadaqat Ali Khan, Ibrahim Khan, Advocate General Punjab, Members of Provincial Assembly Ijaz Khan, Ghazanfer Abbas Cheena, Mian Tariq Abdullah, Sadia Sohail Rana, chairman P&D, secretary law, secretary transport, secretary finance, and others attended the meeting.
