A Russian luxury brand has introduced a limited edition version of Samsung’s foldable Galaxy Fold dedicated to the famous TV series ‘Game of Thrones’ and costs four times the original price of the phone.
Russian firm Caviar that specializes in customized golden phones has announced a new design for the Galaxy Fold based on ‘Game of Thrones’ and the unreleased novel ‘The Winds of Winter’, currently being penned by author George Martin, costing as high as $8,200.
The phone’s body has turned into the cover of the book and both the outer panels are covered in golden elements, referring to the story of the popular ‘A Song of Ice and Fire’ saga on which the HBO series is based.
Also, Caviar says that it will issue only seven units of the phone, after the Seven Kingdoms in the show, with unique design. The front of the phone too is graced by important and recognizable symbols of different houses, including 'Winterfell' and 'Kings Landing', and also the map of the Seven Kingdoms.
For those who are not ‘Game of Thrones’ fans, Caviar has also offered two another designs of the phone with carbon, leather, and more gold.
The phones are already available for pre-order and the firm says that the start of the sales will initiate with the opening of the official Samsung Galaxy Fold series, reported GSM Arena. Moreover, the price of this limited ‘Game of Thrones’ edition of the phone equals to $7,700 for Russians, whereas, for global audience, the price goes high up to $8,180 – four times more expensive than the original cost of $1,980.
