ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Capital Development Authority (CDA) Affairs Ali Nawaz Awan has said the struggle and resolve against corruption made Imran Khan the Prime Minister of Pakistan.

Imran Khan being an honest and credible leader of the country had adopted a no compromise policy on corruption and money laundering and was determined to recover looted national wealth from plunderers, he said talking to a private news channel.

The special assistant said the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leadership looted the country’s wealth ruthlessly.

Terming Shehbaz Sharif and Ishaq Dar as absconders, he said both should come back to Pakistan and face cases instead of living abroad.

Ali Nawaz Awan said the previous PPP and PML-N governments were responsible for the current deteriorating economy, adding the incumbent government was making effective and hectic efforts to improve the economy.

Investors were showing keen interest to invest here because of conducive environment and prudent policies of the present government, he stated.

Replying to a question, he said Pakistan was an atomic power due to collective and joint efforts of all the stake holders, civil and military leadership.
