Pakistan cricket captain Sarfaraz Ahmed has said that fast bowler Mohammad Amir is fit and will be available for Pakistan’s upcoming against West Indies at Trent Bridge on Friday.

“Mohammad Amir is fit and is available for selection on Friday,” said Sarfaraz, while addressing media persons.

Earlier, it was reported that Mohammad Amir was unfit and would not be available for the match against West Indies.

The captain further said that his side is ready for their first World Cup match and revealed his batting position as well. “I will bat at number 5,” the skipper informed reporters.

The Men in Green would aim to open World Cup 2019 account on a winning note, as they take on the West Indies in their tournament’s first fixture on Friday at Trent Bridge, Nottingham.
