Former Indian opening batsman Virender Sehwag has come to the support of Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Malik and his wife Sania Mirza, coming down hard on trolls who criticized the couple after their sheesha bar video went viral.
“I had said this before as well when Virat Kohli got out and Anushka Sharma was there to watch the match. I said you cannot comment on anyone’s family.. no matter how emotional you are about your team and your players but you cannot go into their personal life,” said Sehwag.
The aggressive opening batsman added that nobody has the right to interfere in the personal life of Shoaib and Sania. “No one has the right [to do that]. Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik where they go, what they eat .... no one can interfere there. It is his (Malik’s) life… he has to prepare himself for an India-Pakistan match and it is his wish how he wants to prepare,” said Sehwag.
The Pakistani cricket veteran and the Indian tennis star has been facing the brunt of fans after their video went viral, just hours after Pakistan lost to India in the highly anticipated World Cup match.
