Philadelphia Energy Solutions hopes to begin restart of the 868 FCC unit at the Point Breeze section of the Philadelphia refinery complex by Wednesday after shutting down on June 10 due to a fire, according to two sources familiar with the plant's operations.

The Girard Point section of the refinery remains shut due to a second fire on Friday that destroyed the HF alky unit.

A crude unit (topping 3) at Italy's 200,000 barrel per day Milazzo oil refinery has been shut down since June 21, according to a spokesman for the plant.

The gains in US prices opened the arbitrage from Europe and exports on the route were expected to rise as a result, traders said.
