RAWALPINDI: Federal Science and Technology Minister Fawad Chaudhry Monday said good news were pouring in from all sides as country was moving ahead with confidence.
The Minister said the economy of country was growing gradually due to prudent policies of PTI led government, he said this wile speaking at Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR) in a ceremony.
He informed after British Airways, other European Union airlines were modifying their advisories regarding Pakistan. "Prince William and Kate Middleton are also coming to Pakistan in August."
He made it clear there was a dire need to explore new markets on priority in other countries across the globe to boost export.
He said the country was blessed with precious natural resources, however, he said that Pakistan was still importing most of food products and spending its precious foreign reserves to fulfill the domestic requirements which were a matters of concern for all.
He appreciated the pace of the multidimensional development of PMAS-AAUR and stressed the need of concentrated research in agri- sector, especially in relevance to the arid areas.
He pointed out that the nation was suffering due to corruption of Pakistan People Party PPP and Pakistan Muslim League PML-N.
He lauded Prime Minister Imran Khan for appointing a Commission to probe the previous governments of (PPP) and (PML-N) took Rs 24 trillion loans during the last ten years and brought the country on the verge of bankruptcy.
He said that an effective mechanism was being introduced in the country and the corrupt elements would be held accountable. He believed that Maryam Nawaz had snatched the Pakistan Muslim League
PML-N’s narrative from her uncle Shehbaz Sharif.
He said that Shehbaz stood on the floor of the National Assembly with Khawaja Asif next to him and spoke about the Charter of Economy.
Later, after Maryam rejected it, Asif himself changed his stance to support Maryam, Chaudhry added. She has taken over his narrative, he claimed.
The ground reality was that there was a fight amid the leadership of the PML-N and the leading family, the Minister claimed. He said the PTI was not responsible for the groupings within the PML-N.
Replying to a question, he said that Pakistan Tehreek Insaf (PTI) was a major party.
